The Valley Guild is a non-profit, volunteer organization which has owned and operated
The House since 1972. Their purpose is to maintain and preserve The Steinbeck House
for future generations of Steinbeck readers.

The Steinbeck House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Your gratuities are greatly appreciated. They are used solely to maintain the House.

Visit our “Best Cellar” gift shop featuring unique gifts for that special event.
It was here that storyteller John Steinbeck related talks of ghosts
to the neighborhood youngsters.

The Best Cellar Gift Shop is open from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Tuesday - Saturday.

SATURDAY TEAS AND UPCOMING EVENTS:

SATURDAY TEAS~ 2013
Enjoy our menu items that consists of fresh-baked scones, tea sandwiches, fresh fruits and assorted desserts. Adults - $25 per person, Children under 10 - $12 per person (includes tax and tip). Seating times are 12:00 and 2:00.

Mark your Calendars: June 8th - Princess Tea, July 13th, August 10th, September 14th, October 12th, November 9th, December 7th and December 14th.

UPCOMING EVENTS ~ 2013
The Steinbeck House will once again be offering tours of our beautiful house from Noon to 3:00 p.m. during the summer months. Tour dates are as follows: June 2nd, July 7th, August 4th and September 1st.

Our Queen Anne style Victorian restaurant was the birthplace and boyhood home of author John Steinbeck.
